Updated the global Style Guide website and trained global affiliates.

One of the tenets of a UX department is to provide governance for a cohesive site experience. In earlier times, a company’s creative brand/design team provided such guidelines. However, that responsibility increasingly shifted to the User Experience team.
At Thermo, we had a similar charter. Historically, the most recent member of the Life Tech UX team owned and updated the guide, becoming an expert in the company’s design doctrine in the process.
In 2014, when I joined Life Tech, I was tasked with updating our Style Guide to the 2.0 version. At the same time, we were being absorbed by Thermo Fisher Scientific, which added the challenge of redefining our global digital styles. The team worked collaboratively to establish those styles.
